Owning 2 restaurants and being diagnosed with Celiac disease changed our perspective on eating a gluten free lifestyle. Together, we are on a mission to educate and find the best gluten free eats across the country. Are you ready to EAT IT?!
100% GLUTEN FREE… YES, EVERYTHING!
On this episode, Mr. TEPSBEST and Diane take on The Happy Mixer Gluten Free Bakery in Langhorne, PA! With the bakery being 100% gluten free, there was a plethora of options for Mr. TEPSBEST to choose from. Coming across shops that are solely dedicated to foods without any trace of gluten is rare to find. You can only imagine how excited the taste-testing duo was to have their pick of donuts, brownies, cookies, cakes, bagels, bread, and so much more! Mr. TEPSBEST and Diane tried freshly made Rye bread - straight out of the oven! Diane said it tasted exactly the way Rye bread should, and was warm and airy. Mr. TEPSBEST (who hasn’t had Rye bread in almost 3 years, due to Celiac disease), could not hide his smile of pleasure. The flavor and texture was even better than he expected. The owners of The Happy Mixer, Tim and Lisa, definitely know their way around the kitchen… yum!
THERE’S MORE!
Oh, and the donuts? What about the cookies? You know Mr. TEPSBEST and Diane took big bites of those sweet treats. Mr. TEPSBEST highly recommends giving the powdered donut a try, and Diane absolutely loved the Raspberry Kiffle. Naturally, they swapped to give each other’s dessert a taste, too… the words “amazing,” and “wow,” were used quite a few times to describe their adventure to The Happy Mixer. Sometimes finding words in the midst of such a phenomenal experience is difficult to summon!
THE VERDICT IS IN...
At the end of their trip, Mr. TEPSBEST and Diane gave The Happy Mixer Gluten Free Bakery two solid thumbs up. They truly enjoyed their trip to the delicious, welcoming hot spot. Tim and Lisa are personable, friendly, and understand the challenges associated with living a gluten free lifestyle. With 2 locations available (Chalfont and Langhorne, Pennsylvania), there’s plenty of gluten free treats to go around! What baked good would you have picked? Let us know in the comments! Until next time… don’t forget to EAT IT!
