Faded, or missing segments on the LCD display compromises accuracy. But, there's an easy solution.
Clean the original pink elastomers with alcohol pads for a temporary quick fix. Or, replace them with new gray elastomers for a long term fix.
Replacing the elastomeric connectors will add years of life back to your meter.
