On Day 5 the RGS Grouse Camp Tour crew meets up fellow RGS staffer Dave "Swede" Johnson, Regional Director for the western Great Lakes. Dave had some time lined up to tour Stormy Kromer headquarters and talk to Lacquart Fabric Products CEO, Bob Jacquart about the story behind the historic Kromer cap.
At Kromer we met up with RGS & Local Committee Member Matt Tingstad and his friend and fellow RGS member Luke Lamb for some hunting at a MI DNR's Grouse Enhanced Management Site (GEMS) as well as national forest.
The day in the woods was short as the crew had to make it to the RGS Woodcock Celebration a few hundred miles south for Day 6 of the Grouse Camp Tour.
The inaugural Grouse Camp Tour celebrates habitat, membership camaraderie and the positive impact RGS has on our sport and what grouse and woodcock hunting means to those we have the pleasure of getting into to the woods with.
