Today we sampled the limited edition – Old Tub Bourbon. This Boubon is brought to you by Jim Beam, which is as Kentucky Bourbon, as bourbon comes. This is a throw back as the oldest brand from the Jim Beam family. Specifically, the Beam family has roots that date back to as far as 140 years. The current master distiller at Jim Beam, Fred Noe, is a 7th generation master distiller. This bourbon comes in as Bottled in Bond, thus its 100 proof and while there is no age statement, we know that all Bottled in Bond must be at last 4 years old. The MSRP on this bottle is at a reasonable $23 and while the older versions were produced in the half bottle size, 375ml, this new version is now produced in the standard 750ml size.
Beam/Suntory of course produces a ton of other sub brands, such as Knob Creek, Basil Haydens, Maker’s Mark and many more.
With that, I hope you enjoy today’s review and more important, if you get your hands on this Bourbon – I hope you enjoy it Cheers!!
