The National Demonstration Project of 100 MW Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province is invested and constructed by Zhangbei Giant Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Giant Energy. The technology provider is the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the equipment provider is China Reserve National Energy (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., and the general contracting unit of the project is the Fourth Hydropower Bureau of China Power Construction Corporation. The project scale is 100MW / 400MWh, and the system design efficiency is 70.4%. The project was established in 2018, the main civil construction of the power station will be completed in August 2021, the main equipment installation and system integration will be completed in December 2021, and it will be successfully realized on December 31, 2022. It is connected to the grid and has now entered the trial operation stage.
