QRP is always fun but also challenging. Like others, I would never suggest anyone purchase a QRP radio as their first radio since your output power is 5 watts or less. You have to be able to appreciate how to use a good antenna, understand radio grounding and propagation in order to be successful at QRP operations. But definitely I would recommend QRP if your interests and knowledge lean in this direction.
There are a variety of QRP radios available today. This video highlights the Xeigu G1M being used to check into three 75 meter phone nets on the evening of September 27 2021 from Lookout Mountain near Mentone AL.
