The years of lead was a period of time of mass political violence in Italy. The far left and the far right were constantly killing each other and people that they thought stood in their way. The similarities between the years of lead and what is happening in many western countries today are absolutely frightening and its only a small step from where we are at now to the full blown years of lead.
