Here's a quick tech from the project I'll feature in my next long format video. Using hand tools takes some practise, but it is satisfying and enjoyable, even for a small job like this. Here I create an oval hole that accurately matches the profile of a plastic 2.1mm DC jack for this DIY guitar pedal build. This way, I can tighten the nut internally without needing to hold the body of the jack to prevent it from turning.
