Vanilla Bundt Cake
For the Cake:
1 1/2 cups butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 cup whole milk
Preheat the oven to 350º
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar together with a hand mixer until fluffy.
Add one egg at a time, beating well after each.
Add vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
In a separate large bowl, sift flour, cornstarch and baking powder together. Add salt and mix well with a wooden spoon.
Beat half of the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until combined.
Add milk and mix well, then add remaining dry ingredients and stir until combined.
Grease AND flour a 12-cup bundt pan. Add batter and flatten top with a spatula.
Bake 55 minutes
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before flipping it on a cooling rack to finish cooling.
Spoon glaze over cooled cake. Enjoy!
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
2 cups powdered sugar
4 oz. cream cheese, soft
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons whole milk
Beat all the ingredients with a hand mixer until smooth.
Add an extra tablespoon powdered sugar to thicken if necessary. The frosting should be barely pourable and thick.
