From the strong force to the weak force! Let's use beta minus decay to illustrate how the weak force works. The force carriers (W and Z bosons) interact over very short distances to change quark type. In this interaction we actually change the element type - the atom loses a neutron and gains a proton.

The types of questions asked in FRCR, RANZCR AIT, ARRT, FC Rad Diag (SA), ABR qualifying Core Physics and MICR part 1 are surprisingly similar and the key concepts remain the same throughout.
