I review the RAM 3500 Cummins Diesel High Output Diesel Engine and compare it to the Standard Output Cummins diesel engine in the RAM 2500 truck platform. I discuss power figures, max towing capacities, fuel economy, emission and compare pros and cons between both drivelines in each truck. I also discuss pricing differences which may surprise a lot of people when buying these trucks.

I hope everyone is having a good week. I got my hands on this beautiful ram 3500 limited with the High Output 6.7L Cummins diesel engine. I've been wanting to compare this high output to the standard output Cummins engine for a while and so I put 14,000lbs behind this big truck to see how it does.
the summer I towed with a RAM 2500 Cummins and was a little disappointed with the performance on my towing test loop. it felt like the 6 speed transmission was holding the truck back. so I figured we would see if this higher powered Cummins engine could really do the work.
The biggest thing that I like about this HO Cummins engine is the transmission that comes behind it. the Aisin 6 speed transmission is a very HD unit and and that alone is worth the extra price of this engine.
I hope you liked the video!
