More compute and storage is being driven down to the “edge” of the IIoT network, closer to the source of the data. So companies need to take advantage of the evolving edge infrastructure as a new domain of opportunities. But in Industrial IoT networks, the cost and complexity of sending real-time data, processing it and garnering insight — as well as the constraints to bandwidth, latency and security — are concerns. This talk focuses on how these trends will influence next-generation edge compute and gateway platforms and how Micron is well positioned to support the memory “edge essentials.”
