Non Surgical Double Eyelid Surgery - Plasma Blepheroplasty | Seoul Guide Medical #nonsurgicaltreatments #doubleeyelid
If you are suffering from loose skin due to ageing or genetics around the eyes, but have been to scared to go under the knife then this new procedure is for you! Plasma Blepheroplasty also known as double eyelid surgery is the latest technology and an alternative to a surgical Blepharoplasty. Amoa's Non-Surgical Eye Lift is used to lift and tighten upper/lower eyelids with minimum downtime or risks such as those associated with surgical procedures or a traditional laser. Amoa uses an advanced Plasma Spark Pen to achieve this, as you can see in the video.
How does it work?
It works by using a voltaic current to ionise the natural gases in the air, turning them into plasma. Plasma is the name given to the spark created naturally by the gasses. The plasma will create a tiny superficial burn or ‘dot’ when the tip of the Plasma Spark Pen is placed close to the skin. Repeated ‘dots’ are created using plasma. The skin tissue instantly vaporises which leaves a carbon crust on the area. Once the carbon crust naturally falls off, the skin will be tighter and firmer. Results are seen immediately after treatment and continue to improve in the first two weeks while the skin heals. After that, there is a further improvement with gradual regeneration of the skin.
What happens during the procedure?
First, a numbing cream is applied to the area above and around the eyes and left to take effect. The treatment area is cleaned and sterilised with antiseptic. The needle is positioned close to the skin surface without touching, creating a superficial micro-burn. The patient will experience a warm sensation. A series of micro-burns will be created in the area with an average session only lasting 30 minutes.Patients will experience redness and swelling which subsides in 1-4 days depending on the patient. A cold compress can be used to reduce swelling.
*Swelling will subside in 1-3 days but can vary from person to person.
After care:
Immediately after the treatment, patients will experience slight discomfort and irritation for some hours. Swelling is common and will subside.. It’s important to keep the area clean and dry. Patients are advised to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen for up to 6 weeks following treatment and to avoid direct sunlight and sunbeds during healing. The area must not be covered with any make-up or mascara until the area has healed completely after several days.
After 3-5 days, the scabs/crusts will flake off. While it is tempting to scratch at the scabs, you must not do so but let the scabs flake off naturally. Otherwise, this could lead to infection and scarring. In rare cases, blistering can appear which is all part of the healing. As a result of this, make sure to keep the area clean and dry. After the skin has healed, patients will notice new skin tissue appearing that is pink in colour. It will gradually return to the original skin colour in some weeks.
