Janjua Emperor Raja Mal Khan constructed Malot Fort in the 12th century.
Hindu Rajpoot Mal converted to Islam after Afghan invader Shahabudeen Muhammad Ghori invaded India in 1178 .
After accepted Islam he kept his name Abdul Hakeemhi kitab-ul-hind

This area has not only Hindu and shekhs also has out class Muslim religious history as well because Sufi's and saints who resided here.
Malot was built when the salt range was under the Kashmirian administration
same like Shivite temples of kitas and Nandna
It's loyally reflected the style of the Martand temple

Malot Fort was built on a hilltop in malot village around 40 kilometers from Chakwal and 12 km from kalar kahar.

The second one was Malkana Temples one a settlement and the majority of it's residents consisted of Hindus who moved to India after the partition and few Muslim families who residents in the village also moved to other large village's

There are only two houses in the locality now
There are two shiv ganga temples in Malkana three peepal trees one banyan and one date tree and many other around the area.
