The only way to improve our speaking ability is to speak. But it's not fair to just tell you to speak? There are a lot of barriers that come from within, and they aren't talked about enough.
I have always been shy (and a bit introverted), and so that rose to the surface when starting to speak French because I thought I sounded ridiculous and didn't know enough. But I've learned plenty of tricks over the years to not let that stunt my progress. Little tricks to just get 5 more minutes of practice in.
In this video, I talk about WHY French people might speak to us in English, and how to get the conversation into French, or back into French, as well as how learning French as an adult can have a positive impact on our personal development.
