Following an eruption of violence during a sitting at the Pan African Parliament, National Assembly Speaker Thandi Modise said that as host country, South Africa had not played its role properly, saying more interest into the functioning of that parliament should be taken. Modise was speaking on 1 June 2021 during a sitting of the National Assembly.
