Short, medium and long-term corruption trends for Germany and neighbouring Western European/EU countries are presented in this video using scores published by Transparency International in their 2023 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) report.
The video reviews Germany’s performance in addressing corruption in the periods 2012-2023, 2018-2023 and 2022-2023.
Germany’s CPI score recorded an overall slight decline in 2012-2023. The country’s CPI score advanced in 2014-2015 but the higher score was not sustained with the CPI score slowly declining in 2017-2023.
The rate of change in the country’s CPI score was below the rate of change in average Western European/EU and global CPI scores in 2012-2023, 2018-2023 and 2022-2023.
Germany’s CPI score significantly outperformed average Western European/EU and global CPI scores continuously throughout 2012-2023.#corruption #germany #europe
