What's a 4-letter word that can cut your digital anxiety by half? PARA. This simple (yet punchy) productivity framework from Tiago Forte can be easily incorporated into ANY productivity set-up (including Notion).

I interviewed productivity guru and Building a Second Brain Founder Tiago Forte on the origins of this method. Forte explains how the framework originated from a conversation he had with his mother, who could never seem to find any of her files (yet refused to delete them).
The framework consists of four categories: Projects, Areas, Responsibilities and Archive. Any sphere of your life (including notes, tasks, and reference materials) can be found in one of these categories. These categories then "follow" you across all of your tools, whether it's your task manager (Omnifocus, Things 3), note-taking software (Evernote, Roam), email software (Superhuman, Hey.com) or collaboration tool (Basecamp, Asana).
In Notion, PARA can be implemented by using three "primary" tables: tasks, notes and PARA. Then using relations (to connect them) and "linked databases" to show the data with different views, you can create elaborate dashboards to suit *any* use case.
