"This is all too easy." - Jia Chong

C1 EX saved this weapon. In Dynasty Warriors 8, this weapon was only good for glitching EXP.

Jia Chong is nasty because of these persistent blades that just won't stop spinning! He can setup multiple of them and start free roaming whenever he likes. While he free roams, the blades will help him maintain combo and still cause a ruckus around him, pretty much reducing him from harm as long as they are in effect.

C1 EX refills his Rage like mad, allowing him to be under Rage constantly, 24/7. Because it is C1 EX, he already has hyper armor built-in with the EX. But with Rage, his damage output gets pushed off the grid. The fact that he is able to deal massive damage while being mobile, is a plus. With crazy fill potential and great crowd control/clear and officer pile up/clear all with just C1 EX alone, makes him very easy and effective to play as.

Jia Chong is probably the best single Jubilation setup user in the game. A unique trait about his C1 EX is his ability to maintain his blades while switching off to his other EX weapon. With this characteristic, he can be constantly refilling through the Triumph weapon, and suddenly switch to the Jubilation weapon without halting his C1 EX offense whatsoever.

As mentioned and probably known now, C1 EX is his universal moveset. However, if dueling against a hyper officer, Rage S5 is the best and fastest method.

All of his Musous are blah, but if I have to pick one, use the one that isn't the grab Musou. Unfortunately, I really don't know which Musou that is because I never push the Musou button for him ....

- Tip:
About Storm Rush .... I personally set mine on Manual. Automatic is annoying. I prefer manual so I can trigger it whenever I want, but more importantly, for invincibility frames. To trigger Storm Rush manually, the character has to somehow land a hit on the broken Storm Rush gauge officer, then the shortcut input will work.

A character can utilize "infinite" Storm Rush as long as the character does not Storm Rush the officer with the broken gauge. Jia Chong's blades hit things around him, it easier for him to whack things, like the broken Storm Rush gauge officer that is around his vicinity. Because of that, he can manually trigger Storm Rush away from the broken Storm Rush gauge officer on other things. If Storm Rush is set to automatic, then it will be nearly impossible to pull off this trick.

Character's like Cao Cao may want to set their Storm Rush to automatic, but I personally don't like to.

The only real problem of playing as Jia Chong (with his EX weapon) is the SFX. It is TOO freakin' loud to hear anything, so beware of Musou-counters in the air from playable officers.

I hope in the next game, proper SFX loudness will be tweaked and PLEASE, have the VOICE as a separate sound option! WHY ARE THE CHARACTER VOICES TIED IN WITH THE SFX???
