They are both completely fine, and we separated them again at this first sign of agitation, but this is the type of capybara interaction that you don’t typically see shared online, but I think it’s important for people to fully understand the less publicized aspects of behavior and just how much goes into their care.
Introducing new animals is potentially dangerous and has to be really carefully controlled to keep the animals safe.
Always remember that the things you see online don’t show you a full picture of what that animal’s behavior is and what their care entails.
