This sublime hike from the North Rim to Manzanita Rest Area in Grand Canyon (Arizona) offers breathtaking views and passes through Supai Tunnel, Redwall Bridge, Roaring Springs and a Bright Angel Creek. We spot a rock squirrel at the beginning and see amazing geology all the way. This hike is 5.4 mi (8.4 km) one way, elevation change 3641 feet (1.11 km); the trail is open mid May through mid October; drinking water is usually available at Manzanita Rest.
