Professor Rebekah Bogard explains the differences between low fire and high fire ceramics in regard to glazing for her Beginning Ceramics class. Additionally, she explains how cones are used to fire kilns to specific temperate and why bisque is same temperature for all clay bodies (both high and low).
Furthermore, professor Bogard explains why low-fire clay bodies must be glazed with low-fire glaze/underglaze and why high-fire clay bodies may be glazed with either low or high-fire glaze.
