I wanted to share my installation of the 6WB digital cluster retrofit in my pre-LCI F32 435i. The component is from BimmerTech, using the OEM BMW cluster and their remote coding services.
The installation is really simple, with only two tools, but the key is their remote coding to setup your car correctly once it is installed.
This really is a cool upgrade, and refreshes your car up to current LCI release design and function! The physical swap of the console should take 10min or less, and then the rest is getting setup for the remote coding. BimmerTech will send you everything you will need and instructions, but just be well prepared for your tech and appointment by installing all software first, setting up Skype and preparing the car.
