You can keep certain types of goldfish with Koi fish affectively. You should only be keeping single tailed, goldfish in the same aquarium or pond as Koi fish. The reason that we only keep Single tail goldfish with Koi it’s because they can swim faster than fancy goldfish with double tails. The swimming speed is very important because what happens is the slower swimming fish sometimes get bullied and less food. If two types of fish are kept together in one of them can swim a lot faster it’s going to result in the other, not getting the amount of food. It needs at times.

Single tail, goldfish, such as comet, shubunkin goldfish, and common goldfish can be kept with Koi fish in the same tank or pond.  these fish, have the same swimming and feeding tendencies as coif fish, and that makes them a better candidate to be kept with them as tank mates.
