The Vz58 has been a national symbol to Czech soldiers much like the classic M16 is to the American GI... and the love for the Vz58 is grounded in the weapon's effectiveness. As a Warsaw pact era main arm, the Vz58 was a highly dependable 7.62x39 rifle that was lighter and more accurate than the AK47 - AKM type rifle.
