UN chief confirms start of delayed truce
In a final and official announcement on Wednesday evening (11/10),
the Head of the UN mission in Bosnia, Antonio Pedauye, told a
press conference that a countrywide ceasefire in Bosnia has been
agreed and will begin at 1 minute past midnight on Thursday
morning (12/10). He added that all parties will meet at Sarajevo
airport on Thursday to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire
and added he hopes the truce will be an historic step towards
peace in the former Yugoslavia.

the peace process in the form of proximity talks. I urge the
parties to comply with the commitments. It is my earnest hope that
today we have witnessed a significant and possibley historic step
