This webinar covers the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) and the rights of residents in long term care facilities in New York State. Topics covered include a basic overview of LTCOP roles compared to the roles in NYS Department of Health; the rights of residents in long term care facilities, including the right to be discharged and rights in the process of discharge; and involuntary discharge, focusing on when a discharge plan is not fully in place to meet the needs of an individual.
