Shazam is one of my favorite films in the comic book film genre, it's full of life in ways its other DCEU counterparts aren't, with likable characters, a simple yet heartwarming story, and above all else, a great villain. So you could only imagine my disappointment when its sequel, Fury of the Gods, failed to understand what made the first film work so well, whether that be backtracking on character arcs, dumbing down for a younger audience instead of maturing with its original audience, as well as the characters, leaving loose plot threads, making death impermanent again, having no consequences, yea I can go on, but one of the most disappointing aspects has got to be the the antagonists of the film, the Daughters of Atlas, characters who lack any depth and try desperately to stand up to their predecessor, but don't even come close.
So in this video I will be breaking down with just a handful of scenes how the daughters of atlas tried to do what Doctor Sivana did, but failed miserably.
