This video discusses some of the nuances of setting up in a more advanced kickstand stance behind the plate. Let me be clear, this stance is NOT FOR EVERYONE. However, some of the best in the game utilize this stance with success. This is personally my favorite stance (RKD) if we’re being honest.
I feel very connected to the ground and am able to move very well behind the dish. I want to make sure that I stay centered and balanced between my knee and foot. The most important piece of this stance for me is making sure that I am off set with my feet so that I do not get stuck and so I can still push back into my hips.
