'When data is under control of the individual and lives in a common format that all applications can understand then collaboration and communication and commerce can all move back to that open world of web standard and be empowered.'

Sir Tim Berners-Lee is the Founder and Director of the World Wide Web Consortium, the international standards forum for technical development of the Web, and the Web Foundation, whose mission is to ensure that the World Wide Web serves all of humanity.

He’s here with his Co-Founder John Bruce, who has himself had a distinguished career in technology creating new markets around innovative software.

In this session Tim and John discuss the change that is happening on the web, what it's implications are and what is driving the change.
