British Deputy High Commissioner Christina Scott, British High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, UN Resident Coordinator in India Shombi Sharp and Norway Ambassador to India May-Elin Stener shared their experience of attending Yoga session led by EAM Dr S Jaishankar on International Yoga Day on June 21. They shared their delightful experience of performing yoga asanas and termed yoga as ‘India’s gift’.
Speaking to ANI, British Deputy High Commissioner Christina Scott said, “It was really a good session led by Dr S Jaishankar and I had the privilege to join him...it is India's gift to the world and it was really a pleasure to be here today..." Lindy Cameron, British High Commissioner to India said, “It is fantastic to be here in Delhi and practise Yoga on International Yoga Day with Dr S Jaishankar...it really is India's gift"
Shombi Sharp, UN Resident Coordinator in India said, “Greetings to everyone on International Yoga day. It has been a wonderful morning invigorating here, celebrating the 10th anniversary of International Yoga Day...UN sees this as a path towards health and peace...”
May-Elin Stener, Norway Ambassador to India said, “I love Yoga, I think this practice is very good. I learned new things about breathing today...I was in the UNGA when it was voted over in December 2014. I am very happy to be here...”
