High volume, pressure striking is the hall mark of the Dutch Kickboxing. However, this aggressive style needs to be backed up with a solid fight IQ when competing at the highest level. Otherwise, athletes can often run into trouble when facing intelligent counter fighters.
One such individual who knows this all too well is the outstanding Vos Gym head instructor and world renowned striking coach Ivan Hippolyte. Here, in action at a seminar held at my gym in Manchester (ably assisted by the equally brilliant Damien Trainor) a few years back, he goes over a drill he likes to work whilst coaching fighters.
