One popular and productive way to find snakes in the summer is to drive roads at night where there is habitat for snakes and see if you can spot any crossing the road. For some reason I almost always see a night snake in this same spot every time I visit this road in central Utah. its probably been 10 years since I was here last and its nice to be able to see these snakes still doing well here. it was the only live snake I saw all night and was found only about 30 minutes after I started. That is the nature of road cruising sometimes.
