Routing is the process of moving data between networks. A Router is merely a device whose primary purpose is Routing.
It's important to remember it this way because there are many types of devices that exist: Load Balancers, Forward Proxies, Reverse Proxies, Firewalls, IDS / IPS, and so on. Many of these claim to do Routing. Well, in each case they will follow the same rules of Routing which we describe in this video.
