In this demonstration, Dr. Stephen Dansiger takes his client through a brief version of Phases 1 and 2 of EMDR therapy (standard for demonstrations, as Phases 1 and 2 usually take up entire sessions of their own), followed by reprocessing of a target memory (phases 3 through 6 of the 8 phase protocol). Phase 7 Closure is then provided. Psychoeducation about the process is provided throughout. Not all EMDR sessions end with a distress level of zero, and this session is a good example of one that does.
