While we don't know much about Aang's parents in Avatar: The Last Airbender, we do about his father figure – Monk Gyatso. Gyatso was an airbending master and the closest thing Aang had to a parent. With that in mind, you can only imagine Aang's emotional state when he discovers Monk Gyatso's skeleton in the Southern Air Temple with Katara and Sokka. Who else felt terrible for Aang the first time they saw this scene?
