There are so many pop songs out there that use the same trite old chords: C, Am, F and G, or (in a functional harmony sense), I, vi, IV and V. How can you avoid falling into the same rut so many other songwriters have? The answer is very simple: watch this video! :) I'm going to show you how to use the relative minor key to greatly expand your vocabulary while still getting the same sort of great sounding progressions you can get from the "usual" magical four: C, F, Am, G.
