A Whiter Shade of Pale – Procol Harum – Hammond C3 Jam - The Organ Part
I worked with Matthew Charles Fisher when he owned a studio in Croydon - this was at the beginning of my career in 1980 - he said back then he was looking for a music lawyer on a "no Win no Fee" basis to sue Procol Harum as he was only paid £20!!! for playing the organ on Whiter Shade of Pale! - It took until 2005 before he received a 40% share of the royalties - & not back dated before 2005.
A Whiter Shade of Pale – Procol Harum – Hammond C3 (1968), Leslie 147 Cabinet (1963), Steinway Model O, Bass using Hammond Pedals.
Andy Whitmore re-creates this classic song of the 60s - including playing Matthew Fisher's famous Hammond part.
Demoed by Andy Whitmore at Greystoke Studio, West London.
