Hi everyone! This is Top 3D Shop, and in this video, we will tell you about the industrial SLM printers from E-Plus.
Before growing into a stand-alone company, the Chinese manufacturer E-Plus 3D Tech was a division of the well-known Shining 3D.
Today, E-Plus develops and manufactures additive manufacturing equipment using SLM, SLS, and SLA technologies.
The current line of E-Plus SLM printers includes more than a dozen machines, which differ from each other primarily in the power and number of laser modules as well as the build volume.
For example, the print chamber of the base model M150 is a cylinder with a diameter of 150 millimeters and a height of 120 millimeters. The unit can be equipped with one or two 200 or 500 watt lasers. The diameter of the laser spot for the M150 is between 40 and 70 microns. Depending on the laser power, the machine can handle layer thicknesses from 20 to 50 or 100 microns.
The print volume of the flagship M1250 model is 1258 x 1258 x 1350 millimeters. The powerful, productive unit is equipped with nine lasers; the available modules include those of 500, 700, or even one thousand watts. The M1250 prints at up to 240 cubic centimeters per hour in layer heights from 20 to 120 microns.
All E-Plus 3D SLM systems are compatible with a wide range of metallic powders. The list includes alloys based on titanium, aluminum, nickel and copper, cobalt-chrome and various types of steel.
One of the most sought-after units in the E-Plus SLM equipment family is M260, with an array of the company's developments integrated into this printer. For example, innovative gas flow control and an optimized filtration system. The excellent sealing of the M260's build chamber minimizes the oxygen content in the finished product.
The print volume of the device is 266 x 266 x 390 millimeters. M260 is equipped with one or two lasers of 500 or 1000 watts each. Its printing speed can exceed 50 cubic centimeters per hour with a layer thickness of 20 to 120 microns.
The machine also carries a convenient powder recirculation system and allows for real-time monitoring of the printing process.
