A brief but fascinating excerpt in which Tretiak shows off his remarkable agility in response to his coach's verbal and visual cues (wearing equipment that weighed three to four times more than modern pads made with synthetic foams, leathers and textiles), then fights through the visual disruption of what can only be described as a Sean Avery drill; the coach even manages to tip a puck or two on the way by. This is a fascinating and all-too uncommon insight into the of-ice training of perhaps the greatest and most important goaltender who ever played the game.
