This is video of the 16th century replica of the Spanish sailing ship.
El Galeón docked at Pier 84 on the Hudson River on the West Side of New York City.
El Galeon's journey to New York from Spain followed the same royute Columbus followed when he sailed to America.
It took us 24 days to cross the Atlantic and arrive in the Dominican Republic. From there it went to Puerto Rico, Miami, along the Florida coast, and finally to New York.
The ship is part of the 500th anniversary of explorer Ponce de Leon's landing. It will be on display just a short time, until Aug. 22, 2013.
It is docked just a few hundred yards from the huge Intrepid aircraft carrier in New York Harbor at Pier 84.
