This video introduces the activities of the Expert Group on Prevention of Torture adjunct to the Human Rights Defender’s Office. It carries out monitoring visits to detention facilities and penitentiaries, including in remote regions of Armenia, with the support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan. They pay special attention to torture, ill-treatment and poor living conditions.
