A World Book Week 2021 Special
We really enjoyed this talk with author Liz Kessler, who joined Em and Tracy to talk about her YA novel When the World Was Ours. The book covers the period of 1936-1944 and follows the experiences of three children in Vienna: two Jewish, one not. It absolutely covers the build-up of the war and the difficult topic of the Holocaust, but it is also about displacement, anti-Semitism, friendship, and asks who is good?
