What Is Zero Hunger Hour and why is it important?
No Food Waste has designed a global programme to inspire its affiliates and individuals to act against hunger; make them understand food security problems. No Food Waste has planned to organize Global Zero Hunger Hour n 16th October 2015 (World Food Day) between 12:30 P.M. and 1:30 P.M. (local time) around the world.
Hunger kills more people every year than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined*. There are a total of 805 crores hungry people around the world of which 553 crores are malnourished, 300 crores are children and 130 crores are hungrily dead.
Have we ever realized the enormity of this problem that is very much around you?

If you are an individual, cook additional meal and share with the needy (slum dweller, homeless et. al.) between 12:30 P.M. and 1:30 P.M. (local time) and experience the joy of sharing. Also, motivate your friends to do so. If you are a group of people, do this activity together to help more than one individual.
If you are in a place/position to not cook food by yourself, please donate packed food or food coupons.
Don’t forget to share your act of kindness using #zerohungerhour tag in twitter and facebook!
Any other creative ideas are indeed helpful as long as it makes people to internalize the idea of action
against hunger.
Take a resolution to work for at least an hour a week for this noble cause.
