Mondani Web Team spent four days in Geneva in occasion of three big auctions of luxury timepieces (Antiquorum “Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces” and Christie's “Only Watch” and “Rare Watches”) where a very special and discussed watch was sold: Lot 33 • the DeepSea Special N.1. According to Christie’s, the one that was perhaps attached to the Bathyscaphe Trieste in 1953 when Jacques Piccard went into the deep of the Mediterranean Sea to a depth of 3150 meters. The crack in the inside glass of the watch is a sign of the water pressure. Despite all the objections against this watch I must say that it still a special timepiece and I was glad to have it in my hands. Watch the video and let me know what you think about it!
