Originating at the Myall botanic gardens in Glenmorgan Queensland, Dorothy Gordon is a medium to large growing shrub with striking purple flowers all year round and unique silver/green foliage. It’s a favourite of the native bees 🐝 and birds alike.
Here it’s being used as a informal hedge and shows its response to regular pruning, being kept to about two meters high and three meters wide.
Myall park is also the birth place of sister grevilleas Robyn Gordon and Sandra Gordon, and well worth a visit. The last photo is courtesy of www. myallparkbotanicgarden.com
