Marines in the Making is a 1942 short propaganda film produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Pete Smith about about the United States Marine Corps. It was nominated for the 1943 Academy Award for Best Short Subject and was filmed at various Marine Corps training bases. Hand-to-hand combat is stressed, including new, sneaky techniques used by the Japanese. One-reel.
