The New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg, says the Boston marathon bombing suspects planned to use their remaining explosives to launch an attack on Times Square. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old surviving suspect, is said to have told investigators about his plan during interrogations.
