沿海域戦闘艦：アメリカ海軍の新型戦闘艦(Littoral Combat Ship, LCS)
フリーダム級とインディペンデンス級の2タイプあり、高速性、ステルス性を備え、主に沿海域(沿岸域)での戦闘を行う。

The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is a class of relatively small surface vessels intended for operations in the littoral zone (close to shore) by the United States Navy. It was "envisioned to be a networked, agile, stealthy surface combatant capable of defeating anti-access and asymmetric threats in the littoral.
