After the hug clash over Maharashtra-Karnataka border issue, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asked CM Eknath Shinde and Badsavaraj Bommai to set up a six-member joint ministerial panel to address border related issues and not make any claims till the Supreme Court pronounces its verdict on the dispute. He also said that there are many other issues which there between two states which can be seen in two neighbouring states. So these three ministers from both the states will resolve the issue.
The Centre has formed a 6-member team with ministers from Maharashtra and Karnataka to address states' boundary issues, Shah announced. Shah held a meeting with Maharashtra and Karnataka chief ministers Eknath Shinde and Basavaraj Bommai respectively to discuss the border row simmering between the two states.
